Parts Advisor – Part-Serv

Working days – Monday to Friday
Working Hours – 08:30 – 17:00
Salary – £22,000 – £25,000 DOE

Part-Serv are a wholesale provider of truck, trailer, and tail lift spares, and we are currently looking to recruit an experienced parts advisor, to join our ever-growing team. As a parts advisor, you will play a critical role in assisting our valued customers, as well as assisting other teams within the business and liaising with our own fleet of mobile technicians, to ensure the smooth running of all parts operations within the business.

The successful candidate will predominantly be responsible for the following:

• Customer Service – Dealing with customer enquiries via e-mail & telephone.
• Parts identification – Liaising with manufacturers / suppliers to accurately identify correct parts.
• Sales – Processing customer sales orders and following up on sales leads.
• Purchasing – Raising supplier purchase orders and chasing outstanding back ordered parts.
• Shipping – Organising deliveries and collections via third party couriers.
• Stores – As part of a busy parts department, you will also be expected to help in the stores when required. Although the role on offer is predominantly office based, you may need to help with picking & packing customer orders or stock taking on occasions. You may also be required to collect orders from local suppliers using a company provided vehicle.

To be successful in the role you will need to be organised and confident, with strong communication skills both verbally and written. You will require good IT skills, particularly with Microsoft office products. You will be a good team player, with a positive attitude towards a flexible role. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate but knowledge of the truck & trailer industry, or a previous role as a parts advisor is highly desirable.
